Photodynamic therapy treatment of oral cavity cancer in patients with comorbidities

We report the experience of radical treatment by photodynamic therapy patients with squamous cell carcinoma oral cavity serious side diseases. Completed two diseases (HIV infection associated pulmonary hypertension high degree and cardiac pathology) suffered from cancer cavity. Extensive surgical and/or aggressive course chemoradiation were not indicated to them due concomitant pathology. Both diagnosed cavity, appropriate stage Ist. сT1N0M0. Patients received chorine photosensitizer in dose 1 mg/kg. Options were: output power – 1.5W, density 0.31 W/cm 2 , light 300 J/cm . After one time session therapy, both cases full response was (according RECIST 1.1). In case second performed disease multiply lesions leukoplakia after remission all lesions. Major adverse event pain during first 5-7 days treatment, curable painkillers. Follow-up (IQR) 12 18 month respectively no evidence progression. It is available avoid extensive (as an alternative) use therapy. Photodynamic minimally invasive method localized minimal events, could be especially relevant
